OI445090355_beichnershirley001[1]Shirley A. Beichner ,84, of 110 Plummer St. Oil City, PA. , died at 12:15 P.M. Friday June 12, 2015 at her home following a period of declining health.

Born Feb. 1, 1931 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Edward E. Pleger & Rose J. Miller Pleger.

Shirley attended Cranberry Schools.

She was previously married to Andrew G. Walters , and he survives.

Shirley later was married to Thomas E. Beichner Sr. and he preceded her in death in 2011.

Shirley had worked in the kitchen and as an aide at the Oil City Hospital and later as a home health aide for the VNA.

She was a Protestant.

She sang on the WKRZ radio station with Rev. Bish, and had also been a member of the band Tommy B. and the Westerneers, and the Tri County Five for over thirty years.

Shirley enjoyed crocheting, playing the guitar, the accordion and the organ.

She was a member of the T.O.P.S. since 1982.

Shirley enjoyed the companionship of her dogs.

She is survived by seven children and their spouses, Shirley “Kathy” Tock of Oil City, Georgetta Graham & her husband John of Gainsville, FL, George E. Walters Sr. & his wife Alice of Augusta, GA, Dennis A. Walters & his wife Mary Margaret of Oil City, Michael W. Walters of Oil City, David A. Walters & his wife Shelly of Kaneville, and Thomas E. Beichner Jr. & his wife Missy of Oil City; two step-children, Christy Lynn Snyder of Marienville and Pam Aryubi of CA.

Sixteen Grandchildren and several great grandchildren and step grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a step daughter Shirley Ann Cerillo, as well as her siblings.

Friends will be received from 7-9 P.M. Sunday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 A.M. in the Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Rusnak, Presiding.

Interment will be in Peters Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
