Betty K. (BK) Smith, 72, of Meadville, died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.
She was born January 29, 1943 in Knox, a daughter of John and Eleanor Kooman Dascombe. She had been married to Russell G. Smith. BK was a graduate of Keystone High School.
She was employed as a medical transcriptionist at Meadville Medical Center and had also worked in the offices of the Orthopedic Associates of Meadville, Dr. Nesbitt, Dr. Fedorka, and Dr. Heinle.
She was an avid reader.
Survivors include a daughter, Stefanie Jordan of Meadville; a grandson, Lee Russell Jordan; and several cousins including the Tourtellot’s, Kooman’s, Rhea’s, and Kline’s. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by a brother, Jack Dascombe.
A memorial service will be Monday, June 15th at 6:00 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville with the Rev. Marshall Lillie, Chaplain of Hospice of Crawford County, officiating.
