CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Officials say an accident occurred at the Health Complex of Clarion Hospital Monday morning.

According to Clarion Hospital Director of Marketing Julie Kunselman, the driver of a Jeep Compass crashed into the side of the building after mistaking the accelerator for the brake.

A passenger in the vehicle was taken to Clarion Hospital for evaluation.

Hospital officials say the building sustained structural damage.

“An inspection of the building will be preformed to estimate the cost of repair,” said Kunselman.

No further details have been released.
