Jackie Baumann

Baumann Jackie_1434206612Jackie Baumann, age 72, of Millcreek, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at her residence.

Jackie was born in Oil City, PA on August 27, 1942, a daughter of the late Jack and Anabel (Hepler) Schall.

Jackie graduated from Oil City High School. She worked at Electron Research, owned Jackie’s Twin Kiss Ice Cream and Jackie’s Day Care, and was Vice President of Joe B’s Carpet Connection since 1992.

Jackie had an unmatchable love for her children, evidenced by all of the children she cared for in her home day care. Her love for children overflowed as she and her husband, Joe, had many foster children from Gannondale and foreign exchange students. She loved to travel, including trips to the beach and NASCAR races with Joe. She had an affinity for hand painting crafts. Jackie was known for her culinary skills and the huge messes she would leave in the kitchen. Most importantly, Jackie had an immense love for her family and was extremely devoted to them.

Jackie’s energy and charismatic smile will be missed. We will all hold close and dear to the many memories she has given to us. We are all truly blessed to have had the honor and privilege to have known such an extraordinary lady.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sherrie Lynn Baumann, in 1964.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Joseph C. Baumann; seven children, Debra, Christopher, B.J., Holly McLaughlin, husband Tyler, John, Alison Keller, husband Frank, and Cale; 14 grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Tyler, Joseph, Jordan, Frankie, Ryan, Sage, Victoria, Brianna, Chloe, Reagen, Lilly, and Anabel; a great-granddaughter, Addison Louise; and sister, Phyllis Vogt; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Monday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 East 38th St. and are invited to services there on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Luke Church at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery.
