Lawrence E Hill20150612_09384108Lawrence Edwin Hill, 77 of Ringgold, PA, died Thursday June 11, 2015 at his home in Ringgold, PA.

Born December 20, 1937 in Oklahoma Borough, PA, he was the son of the late John Blair and Virginia Rearick Hill.

Lawrence attended school in Vandergrift, PA.

On July 19, 1959 he was married to Myra A Kunselman in Ford City, PA., she survives in Ringgold.

He was employed as a logger and lumber mill operator at Simpson Lumber Mill in Roseville, PA. He was of the Methodist faith.

Lawrence was a member of the Fire Police with the Summerville VFD. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Along with his wife, Lawrence is survived by five sons, Wylie (Patty) Hill of Sprankle Mills, John Hill of Ringgold, Bob (Jen) Hill of Ringgold, Greg (Lisa) Hill of New Bethlehem, James (Brandy) Hill of New Bethlehem; a daughter Tracy (Mark) Smith of Mayport; seventeen grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren.

Along with his parents Lawrence is preceded in death by a sister Mildred E. Hill that passed in 1989.

His family will receive friends on Friday June 12, 2015 from 5 — 8 pm and Saturday June 13, 2015 from 10 — 11 am at the Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad St. and First Ave., Summerville.

A service will follow at 11 am with Rev. Randy Evans officiating.

Interment will be in the Vandervort, Clover Twp., Jefferson County, PA.
