Margery B. Wescoat

Margery B. Wescoat, 83, of 10726 Campbell Rd. Titusville, passed away Monday evening June 15, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville following an extended illness.

Margery was born on October 22, 1931 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Roy and Georgia Alexander Burdick. She was married to James H. Wescoat on April 12, 1958 in Titusville.

Margery was a graduate of Colestock High School, class of 1949. She had worked with her husband for many years at the former Wescoat’s Garage as bookkeeper. She had also worked at the former W.T. Grant Co., Bryan True Value Hardware, SKAT, and Trans Penn Wax.

Margery was a member of the First United Methodist Church; a former member of the Titusville Service League and volunteer with the former Nearly New Schoppe. She was a member of the Ladies Bowling League at Lin Van Lanes and had delivered Meals on Wheels for many years.

Margery is survived by her husband of Titusville; five sons, Brad Wescoat and wife Kim of Stafford, VA, Mark Wescoat and wife Cindy of Idaho Falls, ID, Dan Wescoat and wife Naomi of Titusville, Tim Wescoat and wife Wendy of Titusville, and Jimmy Wescoat and wife Lisa of Stafford, VA; nine grandchildren; a sister, Helen Kuhn of Titusville; a brother, Bob Burdick and wife Judy of Sebring, FL; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Burdick of Titusville and Mary Ann Burdick of Tryonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Burdick and Ted Burdick; and a brother-in-law, George Kuhn.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Lee Baker officiating.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
