Martha Susan Barnes, 66, of 12 Mechanic Street in Rouseville, PA. , died at 1:23 P.M. Thursday June 18, 2015 at UPMC N/W in Seneca after a period of declining health. She had been residing at the Golden Living Center in Oil City.

Born in Oil City, PA. , on May 19, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Mary S. Szympruch Morris.

Martha was a 1967 graduate of Venango Christian High School.

She was of the Catholic Faith.

She had previously been employed by Kresge’s, K-Mart and in the kitchen at Cross Creek Resort.

Vegetable and Flower gardening around her home and feeding and watching the birds gave her much enjoyment. She also enjoyed visiting with her great nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her son Fr. Christopher M. Barnes who is the Pastor of both St. Mary’s Church in Crown and St. Ann’s Church in Marienville and a daughter Brooke S. Barnes of Rouseville.
2 brothers and spouses Robert J. and Vickie Morris of Oil City and William and Pamela Morris of Franklin. Nieces and nephews and their families; Erin and Harry Liederbach and their children Jake, Colin, Kennedy, Payton and Easton, and Ryan and Matt Antrilli and their Raegan, Matthew, Riley and Rayna, and Justin Campbell.

The family will receive friends from 2-4, 7-9 Sunday at the Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory in Oil City. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Monday at St. Mary R.C. Church in Crown with Fr. Christopher M. Barnes as Celebrant.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Oil City.

Memorials may be made to the Rouseville Volunteer Fire Dept. or to the Venango County Humane Society.
