PLEASANTVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say around 4:13 p.m. on June 16, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Merrick Street, 82 feet east of Titusville Road, in Pleasantville Borough, Venango County.

According to police, 20-year-old Chad A. Thomas, of Jacksonville, FL, and 55-year-old Connie M. Snell, of Tionesta, were involved in the collision.

Police say this crash occurred as a 2002 Ford Explorer, driven by Snell, was leaving the Dollar General Store onto Merrick Street, attempting to turn onto State Route 27.

Thomas was traveling east off State Route 27 and turning north onto Merrick Street. His 2010 Kia Forte was traveling too fast, striking the Ford Explorer in the northbound lane, according to police.

Both drivers were using seat belts and were not injured.

Thomas was charged with a traffic violation.
