Travis AlbertaAlberta M. Catchpole Travis, 100, of South Bethlehem, died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo.

Born July 14, 1914 in Rimer, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine (Gifford) Catchpole. She was married to James T. Travis and he preceded her in death on August 6, 1987.

She was employed at the Rola Jensen Company. She attended the Middle Run Church of God where she played the piano for 70 years and most recently attended the First Church of God in New Bethlehem. She volunteered for the Thrift Shop in New Bethlehem and Helping Hands; she also was a member of the Walter D. Craig Post #354 of New Bethlehem, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Senior Centers in Distant and Kittanning.

She is survived by two children; a son, James A. Travis and his wife Nellie of New Bethlehem; a daughter, Joyce Steiner Seitz of Clarion; six grandchildren, Debra Aaron, Sherry McCauley and her husband Jerry, Pamela Hawk and her husband David, Tina Henry and her husband Dave, Jamie Travis and his wife Tawnya, Carla Defelice and her husband P.J.; eleven great grandchildren, Cassie Faulk, John Mark Aaron, Jr., Jessica Dembo and her husband Bradley, Caleb McCauley and his wife Jessica, Ashley Aaron and her fiancé Martin Crooks, Joshua Henry and his fiancé Kortney Wiant, Andrew Hawk, Alyssa Henry, Cameron Travis, Macy Defelice and Jaiden Travis; seven great great grandchildren, Jacob, Brayden, Isabella, Madeliene, Heagen, Avery, and Keelan. Also surviving is a brother, William “Billy” Catchpole of Mayer, Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to both her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Travis, Nellie Sayers, and Beulah Silvis; six brothers, an infant, David, James, Howard, Arthur, and Raymond Catchpole; two sons-in-law, Clair Steiner and Eugene Seitz.

Friends will be received Wednesday, June 24, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 11:00 a.m., at the First Church of God in New Bethlehem, with Pastor Randy Hopper and Pastor Harold Crawford co-officiating.

Interment will be in the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.
