Clarion MMA Set to Host First Kickball Classic on July 25

CLARION, Pa. — Clarion MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) will host the First Kickball Classic on July 25 at Paul A. Weaver Park in Clarion.

The event is open to all ages, no experience necessary.

A trophy and a $100.00 ice cream gift certificate will be awarded to the top team of each division, as well as medals for 2nd and 3rd place teams.

The double elimination tournament will be held July 25 at Paul A. Weaver Park (behind the old BiLo).

Check in will begin at 8:00 a.m. and play will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Divisions are as follows:

Division 1 — K-3 (Grades)

Division 2 — 4-6 (Grades)

Division 3 — 7-12 (Grades)

Division 4 — Open (Adult) Kids may play in this with adults.

Registration Fee — $200.00 per team or $20.00 per person. The deadline to register is July 6.

Team guidelines:

– Must have a minimum of 10 players and max of 15 per team

– Division 1 and 2 — must have at least 10 players on the field at once, max of 12. All fielders must kick.

– Divisions 3 and 4 must have at least 8 players on the field at all times, max of 10. All fielders must kick.

– All Divisions must have a coach.

– Coaches can play and can be different from game to game.

– Divisions 1 and 2 must have an adult coach.

All proceeds will benefit future programming for the Clarion Mixed Martial Arts Academy. Clarion MMA is a local business that provides martial arts and self defense classes for all ages, from beginner to the most advanced.

Clarion MMA also offers several summer camps aimed at providing healthy and fun learning environment for kids ages 7-16.
