Member_1480141[1]Imogene Watson Marsh, 70, of Coal Hill passed into the arms of Jesus at 5:45 pm on Monday, June 29, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving children.

Born August 1, 1944 in Augusta, KY, she was the daughter of the late Rev. George C. and Thelma L. Jordan Watson.

Imogene grew up in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and graduated in 1962 from God’s Bible School High School. After she married Harold E. Marsh on June 15, 1963, who preceded her in death on March 17, 1998, she spent most of her adult life in Coal Hill.

She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, and listening to southern gospel and other Christian music. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was of Protestant faith. She was a faithful attendee of the First Bible Holiness Church in Venus for the past ten years, until illness prevented. Imogene was a lifetime member of the Pinegrove Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary, where she enjoyed helping with fish dinners. She was the secretary for many years of the Craig Hill Cemetery Association.

She worked at the Grandview Convalescent Home in Franklin in the mid-1970’s until she left to be a stay-at-home wife and mother.

Imogene is survived by her six children, Judy (Hal) Olmstead of Girard, Chuck (Iva) Marsh of Oil City, Paul (Dianne) Marsh of Seneca, Crys (Tim) Lacy, Amber Marsh and Clinton Marsh all of Oil City; two sisters, Beverly (Phil) Lakes and Diana Watson; one brother, Benjamin (Pat) Watson, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Julie and Carolyn Marsh; and one brother-in-law, Lee (Eileen) Marsh, all of Venus. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, George Wendell Watson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Austin and Helen Marsh; and one brother-in-law, William E. Marsh.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday (July 1st) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township.

A funeral service will be held Thursday (July 2nd) at 1 p.m. in the First Bible Holiness Church, 206 President Road in Venus, with the Rev. Sonja Shirley and the Rev. Bill Davis, presiding. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the Craig Hill Cemetery, Pinegrove Township.
