558d8e30a3773[1]Oscar Edwin “Ed” Agren, age 77 of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Gibbstown, New Jersey, died on Thursday June 25, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born December 25, 1937 in Woodbury, New Jersey, son of the late Oscar and Cordelia P. (Kircher) Agren.

He was a self-employed electrician by trade and worked 25 years for the Gloucester County Times in Woodbury, New Jersey in the maintenance department. On April 3, 1959 he married the love of his life Diana (Ferretti) Agren who still survives. The couple attends the Tionesta Church of God.

Ed was a simple man who enjoyed the country life that living in Forest County had to offer. He loved to brag that there were no traffic lights in the entire county. Ed also had a love for anything John Deere including his tractor and all of his John Deere memorabilia.

In addition to his loving wife surviving are four sons, David Agren of Trenton, New Jersey; E. Scott Agren and his wife Beverly of Glassboro, New Jersey; Eric S. Agren and his wife Kimberly of Woodbury, New Jersey; Douglas W. Agren of Springfield, PA. A daughter, Joanna M. Sacchetti and her husband Thomas of Manahawkin, New Jersey. Nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren including the apple of his eye Logan.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Paul Agren, and his granddaughter, Danielle Marie DiPietro.

There will be no public visitation. Memorial services will be conducted in New Jersey. Burial will also be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.
