Betty Jean Wickman, 85, of Laurel Lake section of Commercial Township, N.J., formerly of the Oil City area, died peacefully on Tuesday at home, surrounded with loving family members.

Mrs. Wickman was born in Oil City, Pa. March 3, 1930.

She was a housewife and homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.

Mrs. Wickman enjoyed gardening and loved caring for her cats and dogs.

She is survived by a son: Dennis Wickman of Laurel Lake, N.J.: daughters: Pauline Bennett (John) of Laurel Lake, N.J. , Charlotte Mace of Van and Carol Wickman of Titusville; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Mrs. Wickman was predeceased by her husband, William Wickman, Jr., whom she married Oct. 18, 1949.

A future Memorial service will be held in Oil City.
