Member_148077[1]Paul A. Kircher, 83, of Sugar Valley Lane, Parker, Allegheny Twp., Butler Co., formerly of Mt. Oliver, passed away late Wednesday evening, July 1, 2015 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Paul was born in Pittsburgh on January 7, 1932. He was the son of the late John N. and Harriett Baldouf Kircher.

He was a graduate of South High School in Pittsburgh.

He was a long time member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Emlenton. He was a talented woodworker and enjoyed making various wooden crafts. He was a “family man” and cherished his role as husband, dad, and pap. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, having served for two years in Korea. He retired following more than thirty years of service with Dravo Corporation in Pittsburgh.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Steimer Kircher. The couple had celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this past Sunday. Also surviving are four children, Susan M. Kircher of Hanover, Richard P. Kircher of Pittsburgh, Lori A. Jaczesko and her husband, Tom, of Pittsburgh, and Barbara A. Ott of Hanover; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, and Zachary; a brother, Robert “Bob” Kircher of Parker; a sister, Theresa Daschbach of Pittsburgh, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 10:00 – 11:45 a.m. Saturday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Saturday from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Chestnut St., Emlenton, with the Rev. William R. Barron, church pastor, officiating. Private interment will be at Jefferson Hills Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.
