MARTINsandrasbrightbillSandra S. Brightbill Martin, 70, a resident of 216 Car-Nell Court, Franklin died peacefully at 1:15 PM Friday, July 3, 2015 in her home; surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 8, 1945 in Franklin, a beloved daughter of the late: Charles T. and Justine E. Koch Brightbill.

Sandy attended the Franklin area schools and was a 1963 graduate of Franklin High School.

She had worked formerly at the Robert Bosch Automotive Group in Charlestown, SC.

Sandy enjoyed dancing and socializing with her many friends. She especially enjoyed listing to The Vogues in concert; a band that her brother, Terry and sister-in-law, Beth had played with for many years.

She cherished the fun times she was able to spend with her family and friends, cooking and entertaining. She took great pride in decorating her home, especially during the holidays. Sandy will always be remembered for her kind and caring heart and her warm and loving nature, always willing to help others at anytime. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.

She was most recently married February 1, 1992 in Goose Creek, SC to Gary L. Martin; who preceded her in death on December 6, 2005.

Sandy is survived by two sons: Dennis E. Kelly and his wife Deborah of Franklin and Jason A. Shaffer and his companion Allison Bell of Oil City; in addition to her grandchildren: Kara Sue Shaffer and Aden Shaffer, of Venus.

Also surviving is her brother: Terry L. Brightbill and his wife Beth of Franklin and her sister: Verda Castonguay and her husband Chris and their daughter Amanda of Rocky Grove as well as her very special friend: Jackie Schauer also of Franklin; in addition to loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Family and friends may call Thursday 10-11 AM in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin; where a memorial service in celebration of her life will be conducted Thursday at 11 AM with Monsignor John J. Herbein, pastor of St. Patrick Church in Franklin officiating.

Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
