Car vs. Deer Crash on Route 36, One Person Injured

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police report a Brookville woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash caused by a deer impact in Washington Township, Clarion County.

According to police, around 9:20 p.m. on July 4, a 2015 Subaru Impreza driven by Kyle D. Yates, 28, of Brookville, was traveling south on State Route 36 when it struck a deer on the roadway.

Kyle Yates was able to slow the vehicle to a stop and escaped injury.

A passenger in the vehicle, Crystal A. Yates, 61, of Brookville, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Clarion Hospital by Shippenville/Elk EMS.

Another passenger, Kylie J. Krise, 20, of Punxsutawney, escaped injury.

All three passengers were wearing seatbelts.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Frank’s Auto and Sons.
