Leona L. Cramer Howington

Howington LeonaLeona L. Cramer Howington, formerly of Shippenville, passed away at the Clarion Hospital on July 5, 1015, at 85 years of age.

Born on September 11, 1929, in Clarion, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Blanche (Slee) Cramer. She was married to Charles Watterson for 22 years. He preceded her in death in 1973. In 1975, she married Earl Howington, who survives.

Leona was of the Methodist faith. She was a homemaker who loved her flowers, enjoyed having a garden, and canning her vegetables. She also enjoyed cooking and baking pies. Leona looked forward to playing cards with her friends and family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sisters, Mrs. William (Mae) Bailey, of Clarion, Mrs. Thomas (Florence) Aaron, of Limestone, Mrs. Noble (Catherine) Gross, of Rimersburg, and Mrs. Dean (Shirley) Graham, of Clarion. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Cramer, and two sisters, Luella Cramer (as an infant) and Mary Bish.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street, in Clarion, where visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 on Wednesday with Pastor Carol Brown of the MCM United Methodist Church Co-Op, officiating. Interment will be in the Deer Creek Cemetery in Harmarville.
