Geraldine G. “Geri” Glass

Glass GeraldineGeraldine G. “Geri” Glass, 74, of Oil City, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

She was born September 29, 1940 in Oil City to the late Michael H. and Florence G. (Black) Curran.

She graduated from the Emlenton High School in 1959.

Mrs. Glass was of the protestant faith.

Geri enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family.

Before becoming a dedicated homemaker, she worked at the Card Factory in Reno, for Allied Security, and as a CNA for the Visiting Nurses Association.

She was married at the Galloway United Methodist Church on May 10, 1969 to Edward E. Glass, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1986.

Surviving are two children: Charles Glass and his wife Lori of Franklin, and Amy Lepley and her husband Brian of Franklin; seven grandchildren: Misti McCloud and her husband Brian of Bedford,Ohio, Christopher Glass of Fryburg, Matthew Glass and his wife Becka of Wyattville, James Glass and his husband Brad of Warren, Ohio, Jeffrey Lepley of Franklin, Tala Boozer of Belltown, and Mark Lepley of Reno; and five great-grandchildren: Neliah, Jocelyn, and Addison McCloud, and Kyra and Maci Glass.

Also surviving are three brothers, William “Bud” Curran of Emlenton, James Curran and wife Pat of Mechanicsburg, and Michael Curran and his wife Joyce of Emlenton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Cecelia George, Rose Curran, and Wilma Davison; an infant sister, Thelma Ruth Curran; and two brothers-in-law, LeRoy George, Sr. and Rev. Gerald Davison.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday (July 14) from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday (July 15) from 10-11 a.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Roble, assistant pastor at the Free Methodist Church of Oil City, officiating.

Private interment will be in Rockland Cemetery.
