Police Respond to Domestic Violence in Porter Township; New Bethlehem Man Arrested

PORTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 7:30 p.m. on July 12, an assault occurred on Falls Road, in Porter Township, Clarion County.

According to police, a 51-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, both of New Bethlehem, engaged in a physical altercation.

Police say the woman suffered injury to her left cheek and left arm.

The man suffered a bruised right bicep, according to police.

The man was charged with Simple Assault, and the woman was charged with Harassment, police say.

According to police, the man was taken into custody for domestic violence act and will be arraigned in front of District Court 18-3-01.

The case remains open for final disposition, police say.

The name of the suspects were not released.
