Martha R. Berlin

Berlin MarthaMartha R. Berlin, 93, of Knox, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015, in her home with her family at her side.

Born February 28, 1922, in Turkey City, she was the daughter of Ted and Rachel Klingler. Martha was a 1940 graduate of the St. Petersburg & Richland twp. High School. She was a homemaker, a school bus driver, helped cook at Camp Coffman for the Boy Scouts and Managed Rustic Acres Campgrounds for several years.

Martha enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, camping and volunteering for the Girl Scouts and 4­H. She was an active member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church for 70 yrs. During this time she served on Alter Guild, was involved in the Progressive Group, was a charter member of the Quilting Guild and her and her family cleaned the church for many years.

On March 1, 1943, Martha married Paul Berlin who she celebrated 62 years of marriage with before he passed away in 2005.

Martha is survived by her four children Paul (Stoner) Berlin and his wife Joan of New Port Richey, FL, Lee Berlin and his wife Peggy of Knox, Carol Berlin Meier of Knox, and Brian Berlin and his wife Teresa of Acme, PA; thirteen grandchildren Kristi Berlin, Michele (David) Laurain, Kim (David) Beasley, Stephanie (Dan) Majchrzak, Travis Berlin, Missy (Dean) Penna, Robin Guaranto, Kim Davis, Donnie (Leah) Green, Jason (Brandi) Meier, Wade (Tonya) Meier, Kayla (Jimmie) Janos, Dustin (Missy) Berlin; and nineteen great grandchildren Chase, Casey, Savanah, Sarah, Michael, Jessica, Izzy, Alex, Brittany, Mikayla, Nikki, Bradley, Morgan, Austin, Reagan, Corey, Tyler, Aiden and Delanie.

Along with her husband and parents,Martha was preceded in death by two brothers Billy Klingler and Marvin Klingler.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Saturday and from Noon to 1 pm Sunday at the McEntire­Weaver Funeral Home Inc, 504 East Penn Ave, Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Sunday in the funeral home with Pastor Karen Parsh of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at the St. Paul Union Cemetery in Knox.
