Two-Vehicle Crash in I-80 Work Zone in Monroe Township

MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 12:47 p.m. on July 17, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 80, at its intersection with Exit 62 on-ramp, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

According to police, this crash happened as a 2015 Hyundai Elantra entered I-80 at the Exit 62 on-ramp. The driver of the vehicle failed to make sure it was clear before proceeding through the posted stop sign.

Police say a 2011 GMC Savana was unable to stop and collided with the Hyundai’s 6 o’clock position, causing minor damage to both vehicles.

The names of the drivers were not provided.

No other information was released.
