Venango County Man Allegedly Asks Victim ‘Who He Should Kill First — Her New Boyfriend, Her, or Himself’

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — A Cooperstown man is facing charges after he allegedly threatens and assaults a female victim.

According to a criminal complaint, Tyler Christian Gannoe, 21, of Cooperstown, called the victim around 8:30 p.m. on July 15 and made threats, allegedly “asking her who he should kill first — her new boyfriend, her, or himself.”

The victim allegedly told police Gannoe showed up at her residence along Taylor Street in Franklin unexpected and uninvited, and she attempted to learn what he wanted, the complaint states.

The two began to argue, and the victim tried to run back inside but Gannoe allegedly followed and locked her inside the apartment with him, the complaint continues.

They sat down and began to talk, but an argument ensued and Gannoe allegedly threw the victim to the floor where he pinned her arms down with his legs and covered her mouth with his hand when she got loud, the complaint indicates.

The victim told police when Gannoe covered her mouth with his hand, she felt as if she could not breathe, the complaint states.

Gannoe allegedly took the victim to the residence’s bedroom, where they talked again, but he allegedly became agitated threw the victim on the bed, causing her to strike her ankle on something resulting in an injury, before covering the victim’s mouth with his hand again, the complaint continues.

The victim allegedly told police Gannoe “would not let her out of his sight even when she told him she had to go to the bathroom. He took her to the bathroom and stood in the doorway, and she had to use the facility in front of him,” according to the complaint.

Police noted the victim suffered injuries to her ankle, shoulder, arm, and side of her neck allegedly during the altercation, the complaint states.

Based on the information discovered during the investigation, Patrolman Edwards of the City Franklin Police Department requested an arrest warrant to be issued for Gannoe.

According to online court documents, Gannoe was arraigned at 1:30 a.m. on July 16 before District Judge Michael Snyder in District Court 28-03-03.

He faces the following charges:

  • Terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, first-degree misdemeanor
  • Simple assault, second-degree misdemeanor
  • Harassment by subjecting another to physical contact

Unable to post bail of $30,000.00 bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on July 22 in Venango County Central Court with Judge Snyder presiding.
