Floyd Leroy “Pete” Orr

Orr Floyd PeteFloyd Leroy “Pete” Orr, 74, of Clintonville passed away July 19, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Pete was born October 5, 1940, he was the son of Clarence L. Orr and Clara N. Moore Orr. Pete graduated from Victory Joint High School, he married Barbara J. Kilgore January 18, 1964. She survives.

Pete enlisted in the US military in the Marines in 1958 to 1962. While serving his country Pete earned the Good Conduct Medal and the Sharp Shooter Badge.

Pete was a local truck driver, he drove for a local companies and retired from W. E. Trucking in Bullion. He was loved by his family and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Pete and his wife traveled to many NASCAR races to cheer on his favorite driver Jimmy Johnson. He also loved to play a round of golf now and again.

Pete was a member of the American Legion Post 852 in Harrisville.

Peter is survived by his wife Barbara of 51 years, of Clintonville, his daughter Melissa Surrena and her husband Bill of Harrisville and his son Matthew Orr and his wife Nicole of Polk.

His grandchildren Adam Savage and Cheyenne of Kennerdell; Aaron Savage and Rachel of Mercer; Kyler Orr of Polk; Faith Orr of Polk; Bill Surrena and Ashley of Harrisville.

Pete was blessed with 3 great grandchildren Owen Savage, Hayden Surrena and Grace Surrena. Numerous nieces and nephews and great friends that Pete considered family survive. Two sisters also survive Patty Schuster of Grove City and Roxanne Barclay of Bruin. Proceeded by his parents and a sister Elsie Taylor a nephew Michael Barclay and a niece Deriece Caro. A memorial service will take place at a later date. The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home in Clintonville is in charge of the arrangements.

The family has asked to have memorial contributions be sent to the Venango VNA Foundation, 491 Allegheny Blvd., Franklin PA 16232. The family would like to extend a huge thank you for the incredible care they provided to Pete. There kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.
