State Fire Marshal Investigating Elk Twp. Trailer Fire

ELK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal is investigating a July 13 trailer fire that occurred in Elk Township, Clarion County.

Clarion-based State Police say the fire broke out on Monday, July 13, at a single-wide trailer located at 1134 Millerstown Road.

Shippenville-Elk Twp. VFD and mutual aid companies responded and extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported; however, the fire caused severe damage to the home.

The PA State Police Fire Marshal Unit was requested to determine an origin and cause for the fire. The origin has been determined to be inside the front door in the living room area of the home; however, a cause is still under investigation.

Damage is estimated at approximately $50,000. The home is a total loss.

According to police, the owner does have fire insurance.
