New Folk School Passing on Traditional Arts & Skills

TIONESTA, Pa. — Forest Folk School, a division of Taylor Diversion Programs in Tionesta, is offering a variety of unique workshops this summer and fall.

This new education center is located on Lighthouse Island along the Allegheny River.

Taught by seasoned artisans, the Folk School’s intergenerational workshops, ranging in length from two hours to multiple weekends, offer participants an opportunity to learn the arts and skills of their ancestors.

A number of traditional workshops have been scheduled throughout the summer and fall of 2015.
