WEST MAHONING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 3:10 p.m. on July 24, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Goodville Road, south of North Pointe Drive, in West Mahoning Township, Indiana County.

According to police, 32-year-old Brian S. Lettie, of New Bethlehem, and 63-year-old Richard W. McDonald, of Dayton, were involved in the collision.

This two-vehicle crash occurred as Lettie was traveling south on Goodville Road in a 1996 Volvo, and McDonald was heading north on Goodville Road in a 2011 Ford F-250 Superduty pickup. Lettie became distracted and allowed his vehicle to drift into the northbound lane and struck the Ford pickup head-on in the 11 o’clock position, police say.

Lettie had minor cuts to his head and indicated his neck hurt. He was not using a seat belt, according to police.

McDonald was using a seat belt and was not injured, police say.

Dayton Fire Company Station 30 and Medic 31 of Plumville assisted at the scene.

Lettie was charged with a traffic violation through District Court 40-3-01.
