Pickup Strikes Tree on Roadway in Harmony Township; 83-Year-Old Man Escapes Injury

HARMONY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Marienville-based State Police say around 10:16 a.m. on July 24, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Dawson Road, in Harmony Township, Forest County.

According to police, 83-year-old Milton Knecht, of West Hickory, was traveling south on Dawson Road, and unknown to him, a large tree had fallen across the roadway.

His 2009 Ford F-150 pickup impacted the tree with its front end, causing the vehicle to come to a rest, police say.

Knecht was using a seat belt and was not injured, according to police.
