Rita A. Hughey, 81 of Marion Center, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Mrs. Hughey was born June 3, 1934 in Indiana County, a daughter of the late John and Viola (Pifer) Uplinger.

She was married February 1, 1958 to Ralph Hughey who precedes her in death.

She loved crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter; Kelly Smith and husband Arthur, grandchildren; Mistie Orf, Kenneth Orf, Kyle Orf and great- grandchildren; Madison Orf, Gage Orf, Tobin Sinclair and Bentley Orf.

In addition to her husband Ralph, she was preceded in death by a son; Clayton Hughey and a brother; Lester Uplinger.

All arrangements are private and under the direction of the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

Private interment will follow at Cedar View Memorial Park on Fisher Road in Strattanville.
