MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Around 3:37 p.m. on July 31, a hit and run accident occurred on Siverling Road, east of State Route 68, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

According to Clarion-based State Police, an unidentified vehicle was traveling west on Siverling Road, when the top of the vehicle struck wires hanging across the roadway between two telephone poles.

Upon impact with the wires, the poles fell, causing the wires to fall on top of a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt and a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am which were legally parked in a driveway, police say.

After impact with the wires, the unidentified vehicle fled west on Siverling Road without stopping, according to police.
