BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Nighttime work begins Sunday, August 2, at 7 pm, on Route 322, from the Sheetz intersection to T-527 Hatten Road, and Route 28 from Hilltop Road to I-80 in Brookville Borough and Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

All work will be between 7 pm and 6 am, Sunday through Thursday. Traffic restrictions include flagger-controlled nighttime lane closures to facilitate milling, patching, and paving. These restrictions will be in place until the completion of the project at the end of September.

This $2.1 million resurfacing project is being constructed by Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., and is expected to be completed at the end of September.

PennDOT is advising motorists to slow down and use caution in the work area.

“Watch for flaggers and remember to drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers. Be aware that lighting will be utilized in the work zone,” said PennDOT officials via a press release.
