Man Injured in Emlenton Motorcycle vs. Deer Accident

EMLENTON, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police have released details surrounding a motorcycle accident in Emlenton Borough, Venango County.

Police say the crash occurred at 6:49 a.m. August 3, 2015, as 23-year-old Christopher Stephens, of Knox, was traveling north on Main Street in Emlenton Borough, according to police.

Stephens was traveling uphill while negotiating a left turn on his 2011 Kawasaki Ninja, when a deer ran across the roadway into the path of the vehicle.

Stephens’ vehicle stuck the deer, causing the motorcycle to fall onto its left side.

Police say this caused minor damage to the motorcycle.

Stephens sustained minor injuries in the crash.

He was transported to UPMC Northwest by Emlenton Ambulance Services.
