OI1046079048_PerryJunepicture[1]June L. Perry, 86, formerly of Grove Ave., Oil City, passed away peacefully at the Golden Living Center in Oil City at 9:10 a.m., Tuesday, August 4.

Born November 14, 1928 in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mae Nicklin Harp.

June attended Franklin High School. She was married to Robert E. Perry, who preceded her in death.

June loved people, and savored spending time with her family and friends. She loved cooking and gardening, and would always enjoy a good book or crossword puzzle.

June retired at a late age after working many years for Venango Newspapers.

She is survived by six children, John Perry and wife Janet of Killeen, TX; Sharon McCracken of Camp Springs, MD; Michele Toy and husband Joe of Oil City; Robert Perry and wife Kim of Oil City; Mardene Ankeny and husband Larry of Ormond Beach, FL; Amy Carter and husband Mike of Fayetteville, NC; a grandson raised as a son, Jim Perry and wife Anita of Oil City; and Pam Daly, the long-time companion of her late son Christopher. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her son Christopher, son-in-law Ray McCracken, and granddaughter Jessica Perry.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place in Franklin Cemetery.
