MERCER, Pa. (EYT) — An Emlenton man sought in a regional manhunt is now in the Mercer County Jail.

According to the Meadville Tribune, Kevin L. McFadden of Emlenton was arrested August 5 in Ohio and turned over to Mercer-based State Police.

McFadden is accused of stealing farm machinery, scrap metal, and other equipment from various counties in western Pennsylvania.

Police reportedly recovered tractors, a wood chipper, and other farm equipment McFadden allegedly stole last fall in Clarion County.

Police say he was known to hide in vehicles, abandoned strip mines, and other secluded areas.

McFadden has reportedly fled from police multiple times, changed facial hair to avoid identification, and led police on several high-speed chases. In December he reportedly fled from a trooper in Mercer County by driving through yards to get away.
