State Police Calls: Thefts, Fireworks Violation

CLARION COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following police calls:

Retail Theft Reported in Monroe Township

Around 5:40 p.m. on August 7, a retail theft occurred at Walmart located on Perkins Road, in Monroe Township, according to police.

A 17-year-old juvenile attempted to remove merchandise from Walmart without paying for the items, police say.

No other information was provided.

Theft Reported in Redbank Township

Police say sometime between July 15 and July 31, a theft occurred on Pine Run Road, in Mayport, Redbank Township.

According to police, known suspects removed property from a residence at the above described location.

The victims are a 57-year-old male and a 20-year-old male, both of Mayport, police say.

The names of the suspects were not released.

Strattanville Man Accused of Fireworks Violation

According to police, around 10:00 p.m. on August 5, a fireworks violation occurred on Ridge Avenue, in Clarion Township.

Police say a citation was filed against 28-year-old William Ray Shackelford, of Strattanville, with District Court 18-3-01 for possessing and setting off illegal fireworks at the above described location.

No other information was provided.
