McCall EvelynEvelyn Y. McCall, 76, of Curllsville, passed away at her home with her children and siblings by her side following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Hawthorn, she was the daughter of Edwin and Gertrude LaBorde Holibaugh.

Evelyn was married January 29, 1955 to Richard L. McCall and he died on June 3, 2002.

She was a homemaker and retired from K-Mart in Clarion, where she worked for 19 years. Evelyn was a member of the Grace Community Church in Curllsville where she belonged to the Ladies Guild, the Ladies Prayer Group, and sang in the Choir.

She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter; Lisa D. Reigel and her husband Michael of St. Mary’s, her two sons Randon L. McCall and his wife Carolyn of Mt. Vernon, GA and James P. McCall and his friend Bernadette of Curllsville, her eight grandchildren; Heather Powell and husband Matthew, Justin and Rachel McCall, Ryan and Jacob Reed, Nicole Ziegler and husband Dustin, and Kyle and Kelsey McCall, and her five greatgranchildren; Luke and Trevor Powell, Nathan and McKenzie McCall and Miles Reed.

She is also survived by her sisters; Patricia Aaron and husband Robert of Limestone, Margaret Holibaugh of Curllsville, and Susan Holibaugh of Shippenville, her brother; Gary Holibaugh of Donora, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son; Dennis E. McCall, who died June 19, 1973, her sisters; Sylvia Kesphler, Wanda Holibaugh and LaRue Holibaugh, and her brothers; James and Kenneth Holibaugh.

Evelyn’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday August 13, 2015 at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday from the Grace Community Church with Pastor Dan George, officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedarview Memorial Park near Strattanville.

Evelyn’s family suggests memorials be made to Clarion-forest VNA Hospice, 271 Perkins Rd. Clarion, PA 16214.
