Exley OliverOliver Louis Exley, 79 of Red Oak, TX passed away Thursday, August 06, 2015 in Dallas, TX.

He was born on February 28, 1936 in Ridgeway to John R. and Roxie D. Boocks Exley.

After high school, Oliver attended and graduated from the Practical Bible Training School and became an active Baptist Minister for many years. Through the years Oliver worked in the Insurance business and his last job was a greeter at Walmart.

He married Esther Williams and they were married for 57 years.

He lived in Pennsylvania for most of his life until 1986 when he moved to Texas. He loved Blue Bell Moo Bars and his family. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him and loved him.

He is survived by his wife Esther Williams Exley of Red Oak, TX; 3 Sons: Bruce & Linda Exley of Justin, TX, Jonathan & Rosie Exley of Arlington, TX and Timothy Exley of North Richland Hill, TX; 2 Daughters: Cheryl & Bernie Phillips of Denton, MD and Sara and Kevin Lawrence of Houston, DE; Brother in Law: Morley Jenkins of Curwensville; 12 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 Sons: David, Austin and Nathanial Exley, 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters.

Services to celebrate his life were held at 10 AM Tuesday in the Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Bradley officiating.

Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside funeral services on Friday at 2 PM at the Dempseytown Lutheran Cemetery in Oakland Township with Senior Pastor Tim Tygert of the Cornerstone Bible Church in Oil City, officiating.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, TX.

Local arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin.
