Scott PatriciaPatricia A. Scott, 79, of Seneca, died Monday evening, August 10, 2015 at UPMC Northwest following a brief illness.

She was born January 22, 1936 in Oil City to the late Frederick R. and Beatrice A. (Leyland) Kerr.

She attended Oil City schools.

Patricia enjoyed crocheting, and taking and organizing many family photos. She cherished time spent with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially Lexi.

She enjoyed the companionship of her beloved pet dog and best friend, Katie. Pat will be remembered as a loving mother and a dedicated homemaker.

Mrs. Scott worked at Woolworth’s Department Store in Oil City, and was a bus driver for Cranberry School District.

She was married in Lakewood, New York on February 14, 1952 to Wayne L. Scott, and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2010.

Surviving are six children: Sherrie L. Scott of Cranberry, Nikki Budzinski and husband Charles of Oil City, Douglas W. Scott of Oil City, Tami Scott and her companion Brad of Seneca, Stacy Strawbridge of Oil City, and Buffy A. Wice and her husband Kevin of Seneca; her former son-in-law, James Hibbard of Oil City; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, and the love of her life, Wayne, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Hibbard; two brothers, John and Fred Kerr; and a sister, Betty Long.

A memorial service to celebrate Patricia’s life will be held Thursday (August 13th) at 6 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. The Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor of St. Stephen Catholic Church, will officiate.
