Louise LucyLucy B. Louise, 92, of Emlenton passed away Wednesday morning August 12, 2015 at Clarview Nursing Home in Sligo.

Lucy was born on October 5, 1922 in West Allis, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Henry and Hattie Bluck Roth. Lucy was a long time member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Emlenton and served in the Women’s Army Corp. during World War II. Lucy was honored in 2005 by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a World War II hero. She was married in June of 1946 to Anthony “Tony” Louise. Mr. Louise preceded her in death on July 28, 1980.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Beikert and her husband, James of Emlenton, a son, Mark Louise and his wife, Sandy, of Punxsutawney; four grand-children Kevin Beikert and Brenda Beikert, both of Emlenton, Tracie Bugay of Punxsutawney, Carrie Freeman and her husband Dave of Brockway, two great-grandsons, Deven Freeman of Brockway and Colton Bugay, of Punxsutawney as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Friday. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Friday from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Emlenton with the Rev. Justin P. Pino, pastor of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish in Oil City, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery in Emlenton. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Louise’s memory may be made to the Emlenton Fire Dept., PO Box 371, Emlenton, PA 16373, or to the Foxburg Free Library, PO Box 304, Foxburg, PA 16036.
