Car Slams into Tree in Perry Township, Driver Flees Scene

PERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, around 4:30 a.m. on August 14, a one-car accident occurred on Doc Walker Road (State Route 3001), approximately 1/2 mile from Muhl Lane, in Perry Township, Clarion County.

Police say 42-year-old Cathy J. Ealey, of Karns City, was traveling south on Doc Walker Road and lost control of her 2013 Dodge Avenger while negotiating a left curve.

The car exited the roadway off the west shoulder, struck a utility pole guide wire, and came to a stop after striking a tree, according to police.

Ealey fled the scene, police say.

She was not injured, according to police.

She was charged with a traffic violation, police say.

No other information was provided.
