Emmel E. Bills, 91, of 398 Eagle Rock Road, died at 8:15 PM, Saturday, August 15, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born May 1, 1924 in Eagle Rock, he was a son of the late Simon and Beatrix Sparks Bills.

Mr. Bills was a veteran of WW II Serving in the US Navy as a Seaman First Class Electrician.

He worked on the Pennsylvania Railroad for many years, then built cooling towers, worked in oil fields and farmed, raising dairy goats and cattle for many years.

On June 15, 1973 he married the former Doris L. Stanbro, who preceded him in death on July 27, 2000.

Surviving are three children, Debbie Shrout and husband Allen of Eagle Rock with whom he made his home, Susan Wren and husband Deacon J. Tim Wren of Oil City, and their children Benjamen and Nicholas Wren, and Robert Prody and wife Debbie of Clinton NY, and their children Kayla Prody and Corporal Robert Prody, Jr., USMC; and several honorary grandchildren in Ohio and PA.

Also surviving are two brothers, Lyall Bills and wife Mary of Erie, and Thomas Bills and wife Carolyn of Rouseville.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jamie Elizabeth Prody; four sisters, Ida May, Cecal, Leola and Lois; and two brothers, Warren and Francis.

A special thanks from the family to the Titusville Hospice nurses for their special care during dad’s last days, and to Dr. Whalen and staff.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date.

The Morrison Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
