Dixie Lee LeMier

Lemier DixieDixie Lee LeMier, 76, of Oil City, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born March 5, 1939 in Oil City, she as a daughter of the late Daniel Kimes and Minnie Oakes Kimes Griffin.

Dixie had worked as a night supervisor in Duluth MN at General Fab for many years. Later she moved state to state with her husband in the military until settling in Oil City.

She was a member and enjoyed attending the Living Word Church.

Dixie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She enjoyed bingo, doll collecting, racing snowmobiles and dancing.

On December 4, 1956 she married Richard P. LeMier, who preceded her in death on July 7, 2014.

Surviving are two children, Brenda DuMond and husband Clair, and Jeff LeMier and companion Angela; three grandchildren, Brady Dalton DuMond, Paige Marie LeMier and Carter Jeffrey LeMier; one brother, William Griffin and wife Nancy; two nieces, Ashley Kowall Griffin and companion Sean, and Erin Griffin; and her step father, John Griffin.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, William Eugene LeMier and Ricky Gene LeMier; and one sister, Lois Jean Moyer.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 am Saturday.

Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Venango County Humane Society.
