Fisher LawrenceLawrence W. “Larry” Fisher, age 64, of Shippenville, passed away Wednesday evening, August 19, 2015 following an illness.

Born December 18, 1950 in Bradford, McKean County, he was the son of the late Herman W. and Phyllis Ann Clark Fisher.

He was a tire salesman for Purcell Tire of Shelocta, retiring in 2012 and a former member of the U.S. Army Reserve.

Larry was a member of the Shippenville Methodist Church, loved to watch golf and was an avid NASCAR fan, attending the Daytona race for 28 years in a row.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and his granddaughters.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Berkery and her husband, Martin, of Shippenville; two granddaughters: Karly and Rylee Berkery, also of Shippenville; three sisters: Judy Fisher of Oil City; Terry Church of Bristol, Tennessee and Tammy Fisher of LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Larry is also survived by three nephews, Scott Anthony, Todd Anthony and Tom Kahl.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step mother, Lois Levy Fisher.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a .m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 in the funeral home with the Reverend Randy Evans, Clarion/Forest VNA Hospice Chaplain, officiating over the service.

Interment will follow in the St. Mark’s Cemetery at Kossuth.
