LIMESTONE TWP., (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 1:36 a.m. on August 20, two-people suffered major injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Olean Trail, west of Limestone Road, in Limestone Township, Clarion County.

Police say 35-year-old Randon L. Deemer and 43-year-old Karen I. Temple, both of Clarion, were involved in the collision.

According to police, a 1998 Dodge Stratus, driven by Temple, was traveling south on Olean Trail and stopped south of the intersection of Olean Trail and Limestone Road.

A 1983 Kawasaki LTD 550 motorcycle, operated by Deemer, was also traveling south on Olean Trail and failed to see the Dodge stopped on the roadway, police say.

The motorcycle struck the car in the left rear quarter panel and continued traveling in a southerly direction for approximately 65 feet, coming to a rest near the west side ditch of Olean Trail, according to police.

Deemer and a passenger — 31-year-old Audra L. Bright, of New Bethlehem — suffered major injuries, police say.

They were transported to UPMC Presbyterian.

Bright was using a motorcycle helmet.

It is unknown whether Deemer was using a helmet.

Temple was using a seat belt and was not injured, according to police.

Limestone Township Fire Department, Southern Clarion County Ambulance, and Stat Medevac assisted at the scene, police say.
