Glenna (Mead) Bashline, 26, of Eagleville, PA, formerly of Skippack, PA went home to be with her Lord unexpectedly on Thursday, August 20, 2015 in the Kutztown Area. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, granddaughter, and friend.

Glenna was the cherished wife of Shawn Allan Bashline for 2 years. She was born in Wynnewood, PA to Linda (Samuelson) Wyher and the late Frederick Blaine Mead, III.

In 2007, Glenna graduated from Christopher Dock Mennonite High School. She went on to attend Montgomery County Community College, Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA and graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and Counseling.

Glenna was previously employed as a Cashier at Henning’s Market in Harleysville for 6 years and then worked as an Assistant Teacher at The Goddard School in Skippack. She was more recently employed as an Administrative Assistant for Joni & Friends in Souderton, PA for more than a year.

Glenna was a member of Rockhill Mennonite Church where she served as a youth group leader and occasionally led a women’s Bible study group. She volunteered with Peaceful Living’s Friendship Connection in Harleysville where she gave time one-on-one with a special needs individual.

Glenna dedicated her life to helping others and enjoyed studying the Word. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Trips to the beach were fond memories, especially with her family in Ocean Grove, NJ. Other time outdoors was spent playing tennis and taking walks. Anyone who met Glenna knew her as a very compassionate, generous, and joyful person.

In addition to her mother, her step-father, Paul Christian Wyher, and her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Laurelyn Ruth Bashline of Eagleville, PA; her paternal grandparents, Frederick Blaine Mead, Jr. & Lucille Connors Mead of Phoenix, AZ; her brother, Frederick Blaine Mead, IV & fiancé, Jerusha Paige of Philadelphia, PA; her sister, Haley Connors Mead of Pennsburg, PA and her in-laws, James Monroe & Lori Louise Miller of Harleysville, PA.

In addition to her father, Glenna was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Glenn Waldemar & Lois Haley Samuelson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10:00 am at Rockhill Mennonite Church, 3100 Meetinghouse Road, Telford, Pennsylvania 18969.
