UPDATE: Crash Shuts Down I-80 Eastbound; Stat MedEvac Dispatched

BEAVER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Sources say a three-vehicle crash has shut down a portion of Interstate 80 in Clarion County.

According to Clarion County 911, the accident happened around 6 p.m. near mile marker 53.

Sources say Stat MedEvac has been dispatched to a landing zone near the scene.

Clarion-based State Police, Knox VFD, Knox EMS, and Clarion Hospital EMS are on the scene.

A portion of Interstate 80 eastbound between St. Petersburg and Knox remained closed as of 10:35 p.m. Traffic is currently being re-routed off the St. Petersburg/Emlenton exit (45) to Route 38.

It’s unclear when the roadway will re-open.
