BEAVER TWP., (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 2:07 a.m. on August 25, a one-car accident occurred on Interstate 80 westbound, at mile marker 55, in Beaver Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 30-year-old Melissa A. Perez, of Bronx, NY, was traveling westbound on I-80, and her 2013 Hyundai Elantra’s trailing unit got into a drop off along the right side of the left lane which caused the car to skid sideways.

The car then spun 180 degrees off the left side of the roadway striking an embankment along the left side of the road with the car’s 3 o’clock position, police say.

Perez and her three passengers — 30-year-old John Pleasant, of Bronx, NY; 31-year-old Danielle L. Hatcher, of Hyde Park, MA; and a 3-year-old male, of Las Vegas, NV, were using seat belts and were not injured.
