Richard E. “Dick” Cauvel

Cauvel RichardRichard E. “Dick” Cauvel, 85, of Franklin, passed away at 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, August 27th at his residence.

Born February 18, 1930, in Sugarcreek Boro, Dick was the son of the late Percy and Bernice Amsdell Cauvel. He was married for the past 63 years to the former Anita E. Martens, who survives.

Dick was the owner and operator of Cauvel’s Auto Sales and Mobile Home Park which he started in 1953.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Christine A. Moyse and her husband, Gary, of Franklin, Richard E. Cauvel, Jr. of Franklin, and James P. Cauvel and his wife, Cynthia, also of Franklin. Dick is also survived by his brother, Philip J. Cauvel and his wife, Carol, of Titusville.

A memorial service for Dick will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30th at the Franklin Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1410 Pittsburgh Road, Franklin PA 16323.
