TOBY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, around 11:31 p.m. on August 27, a hit and run accident occurred on Henry Road (Township Road 376), in Toby Township, Clarion County.

Police say 33-year-old Gilbert A. Dawson, of Rimersburg, was traveling south on Henry Road and failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the roadway.

His 2013 Ford F150 pickup traveled off the east side of the road, impacted a utility pole, and came to a rest, according to police.

The pickup sustained disabling damage.

SCC Ambulance, Rimersburg Volunteer Fire Department, West Penn Power, and Horvath’s Towing assisted at the scene.

Mr. Dawson was charged with a traffic violation.
