Edinboro University (1-0-0) took the lead at 33:53 via a Jansen Hartmann goal that was assisted by Lindsay Boss, which became the deciding factor in the home opener for Clarion University (0-1-0).

Leading the way for Clarion was their freshman goal keeper, Krista Mosi, who stopped 13 of 14 shots on goal. Mosi faced 23 shots total in the contest. Offensively, the Golden Eagles were persistent as McKenzie Sheesley had a shot on goal, Brieann Cook and Marina Kelly each had two shots as well.

The Clarion Golden Eagles women’s soccer team will be back in action on Saturday September 5th as they host Indiana University of Pennsylvania at Memorial Stadium at 1 pm.
