Week 1 Football Recaps: Karns City Beats Brookville 47-0, Multiple Games Postponed

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – An hour-and-a-half rain delay didn’t slow down Karns City, as four different Gremlins scored led by two touchdowns apiece from Maverick Kelsea and Chandler Turner in a 47-0 win at Brookville Friday night.

Kelsea scored on runs of 1 and 83 yards, and Turner scored on a 34-yard touchdown pass from Jacob King and a 42-yard run.

Karns City outgained Brookville 471-64 including 411 to negative 18 on the ground to ruin the Brookville-coaching debut of Scott Park.

Collin Dunmyre, Seth Silverio and Jason Crowley also scored for the Gremlins, who had 10 different players carry the football led by Kelsea seven carries for 150 yards. Dunmyre had 10 for 94 and Turner 5 for 95 while also catching two catches for 46 yards.

Seth Ray was 5-for-13 passing for 82 yards and an interception for Brookville, while John Frank had nine carries for 24 yards and two catches for 26. Logan Thrush caught two balls for 39 yards.

Karns City didn’t punt on the night.
